X Factor Results Top 12

The show started out well, with Lyric 145 leaving the competition, making me relieved for a bit.  Then Taylor Swift sang some song about her love life that sounded like it had way too many pre-recorded sounds backing up her weak voice.(As you can tell, she annoys me and I do not think she deserves the attention she gets as a singer).

Finally they revealed the bottom 2 this week, which was quite surprising as Jennel Garcia and Paige Thomas were announced.  I think this is ridiculous as Jennel has always been one of my favorites that brings a unique voice and awesome personality to the show.

Jennel sang “The Reason” by Hoobastank and did quite well, showing her vulnerable side and looked to be almost crying during the song.  I just wish she didn’t even have to be in this bottom two!  Paige sang like she usually does, she has a stronger “diva” voice that makes Jennel look weaker in comparison. (Though I like Jennel more as a person and performer). She didn’t deserve to be in the bottom, and what made me mad, was the little argument about who should pick first to vote for who they wanted to send home.  Simon forced Demi to choose, when she obviously wanted America’s votes to be the final decision, so she set it up, voting for Paige and then Simon doesn’t even give Jennel a chance and decides for America that he wants Jennel gone.  It seemed like a jerk move to me, and I am really disappointed in how this show ended.  I will continue supporting Jennel and hope to see her continue her music career after this show!  It won’t be the same looking forward to her performances every week, this reminds me of when Drew Ryniewicz got sent home because of the judge’s stupid decision…Why does this always happen to the good ones? 😦

Oh well, for good news, Carly Rose is still running strong, giving Tate Stevens a run for his money. It will be between them two to win it I think!

Let me know your thoughts about this eventful show.
Keeping ya updated.

X Factor – Top 16 – Favorite Performances

Carly Rose Sonenclar – Good Feeling – Top 16

This girl always gives me chills when she sings.  There is something just so pure and beautiful about her voice.  I could tell she was a little uncomfortable with the arrangement, but overall she did a wonderful job.  Carly will be going far in this competition and there is NO POSSIBLE WAY she will be going home tonight. Keep it up girl, you are amazing!

Jennel Garcia – Home Sweet Home

Jenelle is another of my favorites this year, and she always entertains when she sings. I love her makeover, it works and I think that when she gets used to it, she will become more comfortable on stage.  I love a girl that can rock, and she definitely does it well!  She is a contender for sure this year and will make it far in the competition! Keep rocking girl!

Tate Stevens – Tough

I fell in love with this guy’s pure country voice during his audition. I love how he has stayed true to his roots and performs another beautiful country ballad.  He deserves to make it far in this competition.  There is nothing to dislike about this guy, he is amazing and will go far even after this show ends! I can’t wait to see him progress and hear more of his beautiful voice.

X-Factor – Carly Rose Sonenclar

Alright guys, this girl blew all the other contestants outta the water!  She sang Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good”, which is a difficult song to master, especially for someone so young like Carly!  Apparently before X-Factor she has been on Broadway as well as in a couple movies such as, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “The Electric Company.”  So she is not new to the stage, but she definitely won over a lot of America with her performance! Check it out for your self below!

I think what made me love her even more, was that she wasn’t over confident in herself.  She had no gimmick that made her get more air time, she didn’t sing a pop song like she looked like she would, she was just a 13 year old girl who loves to sing, and has an uncommonly old soul.  The music industry needs someone like her! Can’t wait to watch her journey through this competition! Let’s wish her luck!

Also, go “like” her on Facebook here!
